Women Entrepreneurs of Canada is proud to present a day long conference (with an optional day 2!) dedicated to inspiring big ideas and taking big risks in order to make growth happen in a global business environment.

Think Big! Beyond Borders will kick off with a day of strategy and ideas co-presented by WEC and the Schulich School of Business at York University, all focused on building international business. Afterwards, we will head downtown celebrate the success and the future of all women business leaders at a cocktail reception.

Day two (optional) will be full of opportunities for US and Canadian businesswomen to connect and build relationships with their counterparts, at the lovely Toronto based Verity, a business club for women. US women will learn valuable insights into the Canadian business environment, meet local movers and shakers and have an opportunity to explore one of North America’s most multicultural and dynamic urban centres, with local hosts-- and Canadian women will connect with counterparts from Washington DC,  and cities throughout the North East, who will be coming to WEC through their local NAWBO Chapters.

  • Successful E-Marketing in a Global Marketplace- Schulich Workshop
  • Creating your own global business strategy- Schulich Workshop
  • Newest research on Internationally focused women entrepreneurs from Dr. Barbara Orser, Deloitte Chair of Enterprise Growth at the University of Ottawa
  • Cracking the US market, and selling into government- featuring Washington Based consultant Judy Bradt, CEO of Summit Insight
  • “Outrageous Confidence: Stretching Outside Your Comfort Zone”- Keynote by Grace Cirocco, author of international bestseller “Take the Step, the Bridge will be There
  • NAWBO and WEC- working together-- Cross Border relationship building, featuring Lisa Hickey, President of US based NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners, www.nawbo.org )
