WEC offers a national community for women entrepreneurs who
Think Big! — including women’s organizations, the private and public business community, universities, business forums and government.
Partners in the WEC Community will have the ability to post regional content to the WEC Wiki web site in the following areas:
- organizational profile
- regional events calendar
- blogs
- forums
- various content areas such as research, educational resources, financing, government policy and growth strategies
Through collaboration, resource-sharing and community building, this national community will reach and benefit women entrepreneurs on a national level. WEC will have a staff member monitor and update the site on a regular basis, and conduct outreach to groups in each segment from across Canada, encouraging them to participate in the WEC Wiki community.
There are four categories of national community partners:
- Corporate Partners: Businesses that are highly engaged with women in business
- Not for Profit Partners: Associations, foundations or charitable organizations that support women in business in Canada and related interests
- Academic/Educational: Business schools, colleges, private post-secondary schools and educational providers
- Government: Government agencies and programs that support the growth of women entrepreneurs
